Privacy Policy for Reference Camera

LifeOrch ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Reference Camera mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

We believe in privacy by design. Our commitment is to collect as little information as possible. Your photos are your own and are never uploaded or shared.

Information Collection and Use

Reference Camera is designed to be a privacy-focused tool. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information from you automatically.

• Photos and Media: The app requires access to your device's camera to function. Any photos you take with the app are saved directly to your device's local storage, within a folder named "ReferenceCamera" in your Pictures directory. We do not have access to these photos.
• Reference Images: Images you import as references are processed and stored locally within the app's private directory on your device. They are not uploaded to any server.
• Internet Usage: The app will only use the internet when you, the user, explicitly initiate an action to share an image from an external source (like a web browser) into Reference Camera, or to transmit anonymised analytics data (see Analytics section below). The app does not initiate any other network connections.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymised usage data. This helps us understand how the app is used so we can improve it. The data collected includes:

• Screen views: Which screens you navigate to within the app, so we can understand which features are most used.
• App events: Automatically collected events such as first app open, app updates, and session information.
• Device information: Anonymised device type, operating system version, and country. No personally identifiable information is collected.

This data is collected and processed by Google. You can learn more about how Google handles this data at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Analytics data is used solely for improving the app and is never sold to third parties.

Permissions

Reference Camera requests the following permissions for its core functionality:

• Camera: Required to take pictures.
• Internet: Required to download reference images you specify from the open web, and to transmit anonymised analytics data to Google Firebase.
• Read Storage (Optional): Required only if you wish to import reference photos from your device's gallery.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
