Account: Managing Your Account

This tab allows you to manage your account, subscription, personal settings, and data sync. Be aware if you sign in as a guest, some features are explicitly disabled and communicated so on the tab. The description below primarily focuses on explicitly signed-up users.

Account Header

Profile Picture: You can click it to choose your favorite avatar.
Subscription Status: Displays your current status (Premium, Premium Trial, Free with Ads, or Guest).
Display Name: You can customize your display name here.
Password Reset Button: This enables you to change your password.
Log Out: This allows you to properly sync data before logging out.
(It is highly recommended to use this to ensure all data on the current device gets uploaded to the backend before logging out.)

Subscription

Status Description: Displays your subscription status in plain English.
Subscribe Button: If you are not a premium member yet, this button is shown to allow you to subscribe. Depending on the platform you are using, different billing platforms get used: Apple for iOS, Google Play for Android, and Stripe for web.
Manage Button: If you are a premium member, this button shows instead of the subscribe button. It opens the portal of the billing platform you used to pay in the past, allowing you to manage your subscription regardless of the device you are on.

Note: There are heavy backend communications involved to ensure a secure payment for you, so be patient while the handshake is ongoing. If it takes more seconds than other operations on the app, just be aware it is a normal procedure.

Native Language

You can choose your native language in this configuration from 22 languages (English included). The 21 foreign languages supported are (in alphabetic order):

Note on UI: The UI won’t adapt to the language you choose. However, when you view a word card, you will see translated definitions and examples in addition to English ones. This is an especially effective tool for foreign learners.

App Theme Color

Choose your preferred theme color from the drop-down list.

Status Sync

This gives you transparency and control over the sync between this device and the server.

Last Sync Timestamp: The app automatically syncs with the backend at key moments (e.g., after a study session) and also periodically in the background. This timestamp shows when the last sync with the server happened.
Sync Button: Click this to manually force a sync with the server.

Account Actions

Clicking this button if you want to delete your account and all the data associated with it.

Warning: This is a destructive operation. You lose access to your account and all your past data fully. You can sign up with the same email again after this operation, but it will be a brand new account.
